I have been busy earning, money. In an office, part of the day/week and guiding Finnish tourists the other part. Been fun but it takes a bit to get up at 3:30 in the morning and take a group to the aerport and tell them a story or two on the way. But we are past spring Equinox so the mornings are bright and soon the night too. It has been a pleasure, in spite of not having had time to weave to do this work that earns me the money to be able to be an ARTIST.
It makes no sense to weave only for an hour or two. I need PLENTY of time to contemplate what I am making and to weaveof course. So instead of the manual creation which takes a lot of thinking too I have looked at my Kitchen window installation. I was trying to tan a piece of fish skin the other day. Haven't managed to knead it soft and am not sure any more if the tanning process was a success as I used grave-salmon (gravlax in Swedish) skin. But it looks splendid in the glass jar in my kitchen window.
