Þegar við mæðgur heimsóttum gröf föður míns heitins tókum við prjónagjörninginn með. Faðir minn var mikill náttúrunnandi og hefði glaður tekið þátt í mótmælunum í Gálgahrauni enda þótti honum vænt um hraunið frá æsku. 23. December is an important day in Iceland. The day of one of the few canonized Icelandic saints. His name was Þorlákur [Thorloukur] and he didn´t drink water, just wine.
On this day I took my mother to make the Yultide visit at my late father's grave. He was a nature lover and would happily had taken part in the action in Gálgahraun lavafield. He passed away 15 years ago so what we did, apart from putting a cypress on the grave and a light, was that we took the green knitting Gálgaknit performance to the cementery. A wonderful visit.
