The yuletide is the actual beginning of the new year. It is when the winter solstice graces us with hope as the day will gradually get longer, and then after vernal equinox it is longer. Of course nowadays we celebrate the yule on December 25th or the eve of the yule on the 24th when the solstice is already past but who cares, a good festivity is grand and in my mind a bit overwhelming with all the lights and decorations as I have mentioned before. But still, it is the nicest grandest feast of the year for me. Then comes the new years eve of the calender and the Romans, I guess. More parties praising the light, praising the sun.
